    INTERESTS

    I was Chairman of the 10th Hereford (Whitecross) Venture Scout Unit from September 1997 to September 1998.

    I enjoy walking, camping and many other outdoor pursuits. I have taken part in and completed the 46-mile Master’s Hike three times and hope to take part in it again this year. I am taking part in the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and have completed the expedition section. I have a keen interest in computing.

    SKILLS AND ACHIEVEMENTS

    I have completed two projects at Aberystwyth since September 1998.

    The first project was one involving the use of Java to provide a computer-based Dating Agency. This involved hard work in the design, implementation and testing stages of the project. I got a grade A-.

    The second project was a group project involving the use of Java to produce a computer-based booking system for a multiplex cinema. This demonstrated the good communication we had between each other. We got a grade A+.

    For my A-Level second year project I designed, implemented and tested a computerised payroll system for which I got a grade A.
